Charlotte is a freelance dance artist based in Leeds.

Originally from Suffolk, Charlotte started contemporary at the DanceEast CAT in Ipswich before going on to train at NSCD. During her studies, she worked with Joss Arnott, James Finnemore and Susanne Thomas, before graduating with both a Bachelors and Masters degree in contemporary dance. In summer 2016, Charlotte joined Black Box Dance Company in Denmark, first as an apprentice and then as a company dancer, where she performed works by Marie Brolin-Tani, Tim Rushton and Tina Tapgaard, amongst others, touring internationally to China, Tanzania and Cyprus.

Currently based in Leeds, Charlotte has taught classes at ProDance Leeds, Open Source Arts and NSCD as a guest tutor, as well as rehearsal directing for the Access to Education course at NSCD for their 2019 graduation show. Committed to contributing to the Leeds dance scene, Charlotte also works as an administrator focusing on artist development at The Dance Studio Leeds. Alongside joining Tom Hobden’s Unit, Charlotte is collaborating with fellow dance artist Anna Cabré under the name of ACCA as well as her own creative work. Other than dance, she is passionate about being as environmentally friendly as possible and looking after dogs!
