CALL OUT: Leeds womxn wanted for interviews for Femxle Spaces

>> listen <<

For our Femxle Spaces project taking place this year, ACCA are looking for stories from women and female identifying people over three generations that come from surrounding areas, in and around Leeds. The project is about representing personal stories, special places and perceptions of living in our city.

In association with Leeds 2023 and in collaboration with Vier-D, Dortmund, ACCA would like to bring together narratives of two cities: Dortmund, Germany, and Leeds, West Yorkshire about those who have a sense of place and identity around the cities.

To do this, we aim to record interviews and videos of people who would like to share their experiences to be showcased in Leeds 2023 Festival in Summer. This will be presented publicly in Leeds and Dortmund, as part of the project’s digital interpretations to accompany dance and theatre performances.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for people who live in Leeds and identify with the city.

1. A family constellation of three women or people identifying themselves as female from three different generations.

2. Three individual persons

All definitive people are welcome – regardless of their ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, disability or impairment. We aim to make interviews and videos to be barrier-free.

Decisions will be announced in mid February, ready to start filming in March.

Schedule:

March: Interviews and video recording

August: Presentations in Leeds

October: Presentations in Dortmund
